Understanding Genealogical DNA Testing and How to Use Your Results

May 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Nancy Mc Curdy started researching her family tree as a hobby.  It grew into a passion and when DNA testing became available, that became a passion, too.  She found that she understood the DNA process and continued to learn as much about it as she could.  Now she helps others try to understand how to use DNA test results to find ancestors, relatives and biological family.

Her program will include a review of the types of DNA tests, the most popular current testing companies and should you share your DNA information.  There will be a short discussion about new technology, help aids for using your DNA results and new features.  The remaining time will cover how to use your DNA matches to expand your family tree, break down brick walls and meet new cousins.
